Ehados

These western grasslands obscure dark secrets.

Ehados is the westernmost and smallest of the Seven Regions of the Underworld. It is comprised mainly of grasslands and marshes, with lush forests scattered around. Due to the vast swathes of empty grassland, pockmarked by small hamlets, Ehados is colloquially known around the Underworld as "The Flats".

Geography

Most of Ehados is covered in grassland, of which the height varies depending on where you are. In the Halior Fields in central Ehados, grass is short, kept low by grazing animals and windstorms. Down south, the Umbral Plains are covered in tall dark-blue grass, making travel and exploration there difficult. The region's sparse but wide forests provide support and resources to those living nearby.

Climate

The region is frequently rainy, with heavy storms and high winds common enough to warrant reinforced construction in settlements. When periods of levity hit, the sky is usually cloudy, creating a soft yet dour atmosphere.
