Overview
The Archons are a mysterious race of demigod-like beings that each control swathes of territory and constantly fight one another for knowledge, influence, and resources. Their behavior and appearances vary greatly between them, yet they all share the fact that their true faces, if they have any, are obscured in some fashion.Personality
How an Archon speaks and interacts with those around them is unpredictable. Some are cordial and respectful with other Archons and mortals, others are explosive and malevolent. The behavior of Archons also contributes to the title they are granted. Fledgling Archons either do not have titles or the title they came up with themselves is not recognized by others. The purpose and origin of an Archon's title has been debated for many years, as Archons all seem to respect one another's title, no matter how grandiose or insulting they seem.Abilities
Archons are powerful entities, able to command a myriad of magicks and schools. Some can transmute matter and enchant, while others can summon entities or exhibit destructive force. These abilities, like an Archon's appearance and personality, vary wildly between one another.Basic Information
Anatomy
Archons mostly resemble large humanoids, easily standing toe to toe in size with giants and dragons. They appear to always wear esoteric armor or outfits, though some scholars theorize that this may actually be a form of skin instead of clothes. Rarely do Archons have more than two pairs of limbs or not stand upright, but they have been known to exist.
Genetics and Reproduction
The creation of an Archon is the subject of heated debate amongst dedicated scholars. The truth is unknown, but a variety of theories exist. In regards to reproduction, the coupling of two Archons is a rare phenomenon and little is known about it. An Archon laying with a mortal is also not unheard of, but the result of such a union is colloquially known as a Darkblood. Viewed as lesser reflections by most Archons and abominations by most mortals, Darkbloods command great power, but the existence of one is usually kept secret by their parents, for their own safety.

Most Archons are able to perceive entities and magical effects even if invisible or faint, in a similar vein to truesight. Some are even able to see through obstacles and into the Ethereal Plane.
