Construction beginning/end

The day when a few unknowing merchants would lay the foundation for what would become the largest city in the world.

The Caravan

A caravan of merchants had just made their way across a horrible swampland, filled to the brim with dangerous kobold tribes. During this time the caravan lost half of their members. They were tired and scared. That's when they came to an enormous open field. A green plain as far as the eye could see. They walked east towards the coast where they would meet up signal for a ship with the magic scroll their supplier had brought them. When they finally reached the shore they found an idyllic campsite. Plenty of scattered trees, optimal fishing spots and a perfect place for traveling ships to stop and resupply as they made their way to and from Borrovy. The caravan set up camp and called for a ship. When the ship arrived they made an order for more supplies. They had made the decision to stay. The settlement was named Freshport.  

Humble beginings

The former caravan turned village began the construction of their small trading post. They made a small dock. They dug a well. They even built a small temple to Erastil. Soon more and more people who came to trade with them decided to stay and the question was brought up on who they should allow staying. That was when Nova Aeras constitution was written and it was decided that no one should ever be excluded on the basis of their race, as long as their intentions are good and pure. And thus was the settlement renamed Nova Aera.  

Rapid expansion

The settlement quickly turned into a city, which then turned into a state, which then turned into a metropolis that covered the entire area. From the coast in the east to the jungles in the west. From the swamplands in the north to the deserts in the south. The city is so huge that one could spend their entire life trying to see all that it has to offer.
