Majara Pricknettle

Majara is Saringallows foremost apothecary. Her small shop Pricknettle's Potions and Poultices is the best place for travelers to stock up on potions, concoctions and alchemical supplies.
Majara hails from a gnomish settlement beyond the eastern border of Scaelor. She was happy there until tragedy struck when the settlement was raided by a hobgoblin legion during the Goblinblood wars. In a desperate attempt to protect themselves, the settlement tried to muster up some meager defenses. In the battle that ensued, Majaras family perished, leaving her alone in the chaos. She left Umok in order to distance herself from the painful memories of her family. Saringallow with its high walls, townsfolk who keep their distance and a small but well-established gnome population, suited her needs quite well. She settled there permanently and opened up her shop. After several years, as the townsfolk warmed up to her, Majara decided to take on Gelion as her apprentice, in order to pass her skills on the other locals. The strictly businesslike master-apprentice relationship later blossomed into a friendship as Gelion charmed her with his inquisitiveness. Majara became very protective of him as if it was her own child, though she would never tell or show it to the young man, let alone anyone else.
