Lothaire LaFlamme
The Steward-General of the Republican Guard
Lothaire LaFlamme is a member of Great House Merandure and a sitting member of the Serene Conclave of Frankonia, holding the position of Steward-General. Like many in House Merandure, Lothaire was born sans-famille, but his martial acumen and political sense earned him the interest of the House, who adopted him and put him through an exhaustive education, which ended with him being appointed a captain in the household Flaming Swords Regiment. After the last Frankonian election in 3700 AM, he was put forward as the Merandure candidate for the Conclave, and internal deliberation eventually resulted in Lothaire's accession as Steward-General of the Republican Guard.
The tenuous relationship between the Guard and the Septemvirate families complicates his duties. He has tried to maintain a balance by favouring the career Guards in new appointments, though his relative inexperience within the organisation itself has yet to yield any breakthroughs in trust between the factions.
Lothaire is a very practical individual. He can be quite abrasive, and is generally decisive in judgment. Likewise, his political aptitude makes him consider long-term implications before enacting any new policy.
