Anwhe

Keeper of Laws

Anwhe, the three headed eagle, is the god of civilization, law, cities, merchants, and wealth. Revered by judges, architects, diplomats, and rulers, he represents the sanctity of structure, not just of buildings, but of societies, pacts, and ideals. It was Anwhe who gave mortals the gift of law at the dawn of civilisation, as communities grew into cities. Where there is balance through rules, or progress forged through stability, there Anwhe’s influence thrives.

Appearance

Anwhe is typically depicted as a three headed eagle, falcon or other bird of prey. But he has also been depicted as a tall, androgynous figure of carved marble and golden flame, clad in regal robes etched with geometric symbols. His face is stern and expressionless, yet never cruel, eyes glowing with unwavering judgment. In his hand he holds the Sigil Key, a stylus forged from light, used to write the First Contract that brought structure to the world. A radiant disk or stylized square often glows behind his head in iconography, representing divine symmetry and order.

Dogma

The three headed eagle hold the three pillars of civilisation above all else. Law, Wealth and Community. He teaches that freedom without structure is fleeting, and power without restraint leads to ruin. Through contracts, laws, and institutions, societies preserve themselves and allow justice to flourish. While not inherently inflexible, Anwhe’s faith values consistency, mutual accountability, and the slow, deliberate shaping of the world. It is said that Anwhe does not favor the strong or the righteous, but the just, those who uphold what has been sworn.

Worship

Temples of Anwhe serve as both houses of worship and civic centers, often doubling as courthouses, record halls, and schools. His clergy, known as The Oathed, oversee the enforcement of oaths and the preservation of binding agreements. Initiates undergo years of training in both law and history, becoming impartial mediators in disputes large and small. The central holy text of the faith is the Codex Anwhenium, a sprawling compilation of parables, case studies, and divine rulings. It is ever-expanding, with new chapters inscribed by each generation’s High Arbiter.   Anwhe’s chief holiday is The Day of Concord, held at the first full moon of spring. On this day, communities reaffirm their foundational agreements through symbolic rites, feasts of union, and public discourse. Contracts sealed on this day are considered unbreakable, blessed by the divine mark of Anwhe. Hismost devout followers also celebrate Taxfest. Celebrated on the last day that taxes hare to be collected, this is seen as the most sacred of bonds, that between the rulers and the people.

Relations

Anwhe stands in philosophical contrast to gods of chaos and unchecked emotion. He respects Cernius for his grounding of mortal lives and shares kinship with Velmira in her creative ambition, yet often finds her whimsical nature difficult to restrain. Anwhe holds no affection for Nyxarion, whose twisted contracts and obsessive stagnation pervert all that law should stand for. Though he once debated Xel’Vakar in the Tower of Accord, he now views the lich-god’s hunger for dominion as the antithesis of true order.
