Staff of the Sea King

Created from the chitinous limb of some unknown beast of the sea, this staff looks very crude and unimpressive. However, if there was anything the godless sahuagin consider sacred, it is this staff. Both within and without sahuagin society it is believed to wield impressive magical powers, but its properties are unknown to all but its wielders.

Significance

According to sahuagin legend, the first of their kings learned the secrets of magic from a mysterious creature known as The One in the Depths. This creature was the undisputed ruler of all the seas of all the worlds, and this being's apprentice wanted its throne all for himself. And so he used his newfound magical power to cut a limb from the creature and destroy it utterly. Thus, he became the rightful ruler of the seas.
For as long as history has been recorded, the wielder of this staff is known to all as the ruler of all sahuagin. A great many wars have been fought over it, and countless assassinations have been executed to claim it according to the savage and bloody traditions of the sahuagin.
Ever since the death of Icktrik at the hands of the Cake Squad, it has been in the possession of Tirasala of Mir'assen.
