Foecleaver

The weapons of legendary wielders become legendary themselves. This has been true since the very first days of the Twin Worlds. The greataxe of Cand Romerrac is one such weapon. This lost blade bears the name Foecleaver.   The appearance of Foecleaver matches its legendary status. Its minotaur-forged blade is of a high-quality steel that always seems to retain its shine. The screaming face of an ursil can be seen in the center between the twin blades of the axe head.   He obtained it from a minotaur paladin who sought to end the threat of the ursil menace. It was a long and difficult fight, but Romerrac was finally victorious. It stayed with him for the rest of his life, and he was carrying it when he fell to his death. The man's body was recovered, but his axe was lost.

Significance

The importance of Foecleaver goes far beyond its comparatively meager enchantment. Its significance comes from the legendary stature of its wielder. The ursil consider it to be nothing short of the most important relic of their people.   Because it was lost, basically all ursil cubs dream of finding it as the ultimate test of worth. This enthusiasm doesn't often fade when they grow into adulthood, as many go on quests searching for it. As of yet, none have found it.
