Siren Song

The characters begin in Siren Song as desperate Keleres recruits stuck in drudge work and yearning for glory. When they try and take that glory for themselves, at their whim they endanger their futures as Keleres Agents and spend their time repairing their reputations as they resolve Alerts and prove a conspiracy that tried to destroy them. Siren Song starts glorious, turns rough, has a midpoint reversal and redemption, and ends with a win: The Cohort's surviving members are promoted and they are honored with a ship.

Plot points/Scenes

Overview

Siren Song is the overplot that handles the introduction of the BBEG, several minor bad guys, and all four Midboss characters. It has five subplots, each with between one and four adventures each, and each adventure dealing with at least one main quest and at least two side quests at each location. Because of this Cohort will often split into multiple teams dealing with suited to the objectives. There is only one rule: Each team-member will need recovery time before heading out again, so each character can only be used once until healed - no going out damaged.

Plots

From Dust and Ash is the Mecatol Rex plotline that ends with the characters capture the smuggler Blogu and expect reward only to await punishment.

To the Stars is where the Cohort must choose between staying and hoping for a light reprimand or sneaking away from trouble following a "trusted ally"... It will end with the Cohort fleeing their own agency if they make the wrong choices.

Four Steps Forward is the efforts of Cohort Theta2 attempting to clear their names. In the pursuit of a clean slate, they uncover seemingly unrelated clues.

Two Steps Back sets the Cohort back in Keleres HQ but stripped of their ship. They have to use the clues they gathered, and clues from around the office to figure out what's going on. But at current, they are still on desk duty until they can rank up.

Freedom and Consequences has a small subsection of the Cohort advance their standing with a couple Factions and puts the Cohort finally in charge of their own destinies. They get paid, they shop, they save lives, they start winning on Mecatol Rex and life is good. They are Field Agents now, and they have some pull with other Factions beyond the Keleres.

Components

Hooks

The first thing I need is a Call to Adventure. In From Dust and Ash I'm going to use a Investigation scene to have the Cohort gather data that reveals a smuggler & their ship heading into Mecatol Rex. They'll go to arrest him, but split into groups based on what they can do. Intelligence, Combat, & Social are the easiest groupings. They're gonna find the ship, smuggler's hideout, and the smuggler and arrest him. But in doing so, each team breaks numerous laws. Tribunii Myrr is furious and wants the Cohort benched or thrown out. That's what's going to set up a new plot.

Cruel Tricks

In Stars a Druaa masquerading as Tribunii Leeds leads them to a hidden stellar transport, a small tramp freighter version, and sends them off-world with a quest item - Mysterious Data Crystal.
