Duns Rest

Duns Rest is corporate driven dome city whose corporate interests mine the Readd Desert for acidic salts. The work is hard, dangerous, and not for the faint of heart. The city is mostly populated by roughnecks who work the salt wastes hauling in the acid salts and entrepreneurs whose businesses, all chains licensed from corporations, serve them. Dun's Rest has few families, but a great many young roughnecks more than a few folks desperate enough to do terrible things for aurei. The government is barely holding it all together, the defense force is a hated constabulary working for yet another corporation and dependant on quotas of tickets given and arrests made. Duns Rest is a miserable place.

Or at least it was.

After the Keleres Cohort Theta² was done, Duns Rest was done as a corporate interest. It became a settlement under the control of the Barony of Letnev, governed by Lieutenant Vertex.
