Personal history

Bedesh Floodbinder was born beneath the watchful gaze of the twin moons, her first cries swallowed by the rushing waters of the Verdant River—the lifeblood of her people. The shaman claimed she was blessed by the river spirits, that water would shape her path, and in time, those words proved true.   She grew into a fierce and cunning warrior, her hooves striking the earth with the strength of the tides. With her spear in hand, she led countless raids against those who would threaten her kin, whether orc raiders seeking to claim their hunting grounds or human settlers encroaching too far into the plains. But Bedesh was more than just a warrior; she was a leader who understood the balance between war and wisdom.   Her mate, Rahlis Stormstride, was her equal in both battle and spirit. Together, they defended the Riverhoof Clan and raised their only daughter, Shemri, to honor their traditions. But their time together was cut short when Rahlis fell defending the tribe from slavers, slain by poisoned arrows meant for her. Bedesh slew the invaders and sent their heads floating down the river as a warning, but the loss carved a wound in her heart that never fully healed.   Now, as chieftain, she rules with measured strength, knowing that every choice she makes affects the lives of those who trust her. Her second-in-command, Tosh'Rand, is her most loyal warrior, a brother-in-arms who understands the pain of loss as she does. While she values his skill and counsel, she also worries for his heart, fearing his hatred for humans will one day lead him down a path of recklessness.   Though grief has tempered her, Bedesh is unyielding, like the river that carves through stone. She fights not only to preserve her people but to secure a future for her daughter, Shemri, who will one day lead the Clan. And until that day comes, Bedesh rides on, her spear ever-ready, her heart beating in time with the rushing waters that have always guided her.
