Vinter or Vintner / Viticulturist or Vigneron

Vintners are wine producers and traders. Viticulturists are grape growers specialising in grapes for wine use only. They are involved with the wine trade and found in warmer parts & regions of Europe, the Middle East and North Africa at producing the wine and bringing it to market. Each region will have it's specialties and they will work to brew the wine, cask it, and bottle it. This also involves the removal of impurities and aging the wine correctly. During the aging and transport of it, it must stay a low temperature, and preferably little agitation to prevent further solids from mixing with the wine.
The majority of wines are more expensive than beers, and some can go for exorbitant prices outside their native regions. A viticulturist (or Vigneron), governs a vineyard and has exacting standards as to what grapes to grown. where they are planted, for how long, in what soil, which direction they face, and the run-off of water. Each can make a slight but distinct difference to the grapes, and a host of other factors likely play a part.
