Trouble Brewing

The Heroes are involved with some rather powerful individuals.

Plot points/Scenes

After a couple of incidents with Father Tossil, a collection of high ranking priests and the local Cardinal from the Wien Roman Catholic church summons Willhelm for the purposes of working out exactly what is going on and why he is against Tossil. They are concerned that he is meddling in affairs that will eventually lead to his damnation and the same fate for others. Charlemagne is now aware of Quasitson and a possible threat within his borders, and that Willhelm seems antagonistic with the priest.
He's given the choice, work with the Elven priests of the Vanir or flee. They will try to persuade Willhelm to be exceptionally careful and that the creature he follows is highly dangerous. Also, they refer to it as "The God From The Outer Darkness", and Ancient One who delights in corrupting & consuming Elves. According to their runes it will eventually destroy him, and most Elvenkind starting with his family after he is dead.
To stop it requires great fortitude but can be done. A trip to the Dreamlands can be made to the city of Unknown Kadath and a page from the Pnakotic Manuscripts lies there with a spell ritual that can be retrieved. It will describe  the ritual as follows:

• He needs an ounce of Mistletoe's Blood Clot, pestle & mortar
• a quarter litre of his own blood freshly drawn
• Have them mixed at a sacred site to the gods (no evil allowed)
• Blessed by a mix of the local religions
• go through the spell while being tied to the sacred stone and a symbol cut into his chest
• this is to be painted on to his body too using the mixed blood and Mistletoe's Blood Clot
• he has to put blocks up in his mind to limit the power of the god and link with the Vanir.

He is allowed to smoke marijuana before and after. If successful he can get he blocks up and no real change except he has to treat all religious figures with respect. He gains a +3 dealing with them & nobility on all Charisma rolls. If not, he's in trouble with the religious figures and made an outlaw, and/or the chance of being hunted down by Krampus (since it's near Christmas).
He will also loose his property and Grimmaz may be stripped of his title, and forced into exile for a year and a day, if not fulfilled. If he goes through with the ritual and it fails accidentally he can try once again a week later.
