The XIII Legion
Roman Legionary
Medium Human Soldier , Neutral
Description
A Roman Legionary is a Roman or Romanised citizen that fought for Rome. Now defunct due to the break down of the Western Roman Empire, there are pockets of Europe that still contain these centuries old soldiers. They usually fought in units of 8 and part of a Century (80 men). When they are formed up they can form a shield wall to protect themselves, and their javelins (called Pilum) have it's neck made in a way to bend when it hits a shield making the opponent's shield weigh more than it should making it useless. They have shields called scutum, that id straight, oblong or oval but is near head height. Each shield has a metal boss in the middle that can be used to punch an opponent. Their usual melee weapon is a gladius that is a form of short sword.
