The Blood Claw Tribe

The Blood Claw tribe is a Welsh Orc tribe, that numbers a 370 or so members. They speak Brythonic Welsh, and Anglo-Saxon, and had been in Wales for well over 6832 years after it was established by their forefathers. Being Orcs the average Orc of the tribe doesn't dwell too much on the past and generally doesn't know too much about their beginnings.   They are led at present by Emhyr Tremen, and his shaman ally Delwin Drew. After raiding much of central Wales, a great host of Welsh tribes rose up to drive out, if not kill, the Blood Claws. This had forced them to flee knowing their lairs are under watch from the Humans of the region, and spied on constantly by Gnomes & Halflings. They embarked on a mini exodus into the east, where they found more powerful tribes of Humans, and their allies, along with Elves & Dwarves now. Nowhere seemed safe, especially since their kind seems now outnumbered. Deciding to start heading south, they soon encountered an Ettin that was dying. Getting it back to strength both seen their mutual survival was at stake, the Ettin joined them where they look for a new home. Nearing the southern coast, they encountered two Trolls that were being hounded by Anglo-Saxon warriors, they saved the two of them curious as to why such powerful creatures were being beaten by puny Humans. After a while they noticed the Trolls also make good shock troops with the Ettin, and the former make good bodyguards for Emhyr & Delwin.   Knowing they couldn't return home, they raided a coastal town on the coast getting boats, and material to build more. From there they have travelled the channel to northern Frankia. Now they raid along the coast, and have made small settlements where they can to hide their young and their wealth while raiding other settlements, and attracting other Orcs to their cause. Each year they are starting to slowly build up again. The Franks, and their allied Alan horsemen in the region, are starting to take this seriously and starting to mount a defence against them.
