Session 25: Fiery Success

Archi and Arne are waking up while a stranger is walking down the road towards Eschbach. It was a tumulus night where a woman dressed as a non stole a precious artifact. The woman stole the Le Marchand Configuration and moved North with the 2 Baobhan Sith. 

 

Archi and Arne meet a dwarf mercenary who offers to help them for some coin. Archi and Arne discuss the situation a bit, and decide to follow the dwarf who was trotting ahead towards the church's. After walking a bit towards the church, the dwarf turns around and asks Arne and Archi who's the leader of the group. But the group has more a sort of collective leader. Thus Arne mentions that the group needs to head North to look for a nun and some Baobhan Sith. 

 

After walking a small distance, Magnar comes up behind the group and meets the dwarf who introduces himself as Rab McGregor. They divide the work between themselves and continue the search. 

After a few hours Rab finds a few pairs of raven claws on the side of the road which seem to change into clawed hoofs going into the trees. 

 

The group follows the tracks into the trees. 

 

After some time they find a clearing with a fallen tree. Chicken throws a few firebolts to the tree making the stump catch fire. Magnar runs to put out the fire together with Archi. After the stump catches fire, 3 woman are visible. Rab wants to offer assistance to the woman, but notices in time that the woman are not human but the Baobhan Sith the group is looking for. Known as evil creatures. 

 

Rab being confused decides to sit down and start smoking his pipe. The 3 come out of the temporary accommodation and get hit by the firebolt spell.  

 

The group ends up in a discussion with the Baobhan Sith to see if they can exchange the artifact for something. The group discusses to use a trick to hand Chicken over temporarily and then get her back via a spell. After Chicken agrees to it the group starts the plan. Once the group gets the cube with the artifact.

The Baobhan Sith throws the Le Marchand Configuration out of the makeshift camp after Chicken goes in. Then Arne teleports her out to beside himself. There she fires two fireballs into the camp and burns the three of the Sith. Magnar blocks the way to stop any trying to escape or attack when this happens.

They then make a run for it getting to the church and handing it back over. Then Chicken goes for a sleep and the rest sort out a few bits & pieces. Magnar buys a new cloak in case it is needed for 1 silver, and Archi buys a leather bag for plans that he has. He then disappears in the meantime in the direction of the tower remains and NINE.

Rab will be staying in with the main gang, and with the help of Magnar gets water in a number of pails from out the back of Magnar's house. These are placed around the house to put out any fires Chicken tries to start.

Then everybody gets the feet up for the night.
