Merovingian Soldier

The Merovingians used a more professional style of soldiery than most Franks. They use a core of trained troops using chainmail shirts, helmets, shields, swords, spears, lances, and bow & arrows. Some would use warhorses, but only those that could afford it. Their gear would normally display the Merovingian coat of arms and would be trained relatively well. They are small in number though compared to the Frankish Levies, but had the better military knowhow & experience. This also includes using siege weapons.
