Houska

The outcrop of rock that will become known as Houska, with a castle that will be built on the site in a few centuries time, has cracks & a hole on top dropping deep into the earth. It has many local legends surrounding it, and no-one from Prague (the closest settlement and in the south, at 29 miles away) dares to go near it. The rocky outcrop is quite large & surrounded by mountains nearby, as well as swamps & forests.
It has an evil reputation and strange noises can be heard emanating from the crack at the top. Also, many animal / human hybrids are supposed to have crawled out of the hole, and surrounding cracks in the rock, as well as creatures of black colour flying out too. It is feared & thought of as being a gateway to Hell, though no-one as ever attempted to truly investigate.
