Halflings are small humanoids around 3 ft tall, and about 40 lb. They mature about 20 years old and can live up to about 150 years old. As a rule they are usually good natured, kind and law abiding (usually Lawful and/or Good). They exist primarily in Western Europe and especially in countries with a large Celtic population, or at least ones that used to. They usually live in settlements called Shires, and a few can be found in Human, or Gnome settlements. Some scholars share that the Halfling language at least, if not the Halflings are distant relations of the Fey. It is something neither Halflings and Fey do not talk about. By their nature Halflings are generally Lucky (if a 1 is rolled on a d20 for any reason, it can be rerolled and the new roll used instead), and Brave (they have an advantage on saving throws against being frightened). They are also surprising nimble with some remarking it is Halfling Nimbleness that keeps them alive (they can move through the space of any creature that is at least one size larger than the Halfling).   Stout Halflings are tougher and hardier than other Halflings, and rumours persist they may have some Dwarven blood in their ancestry. This gives them an ability score increase of +1 Constitution (already in Ability Scores), and Stout Resilience (an advantage on saving throws against poison, and resilience against poison damage.
