Bloody Rampage. When the grey render takes damage, it makes one attack with it's claws against a random creature within it's reach, other than it's master.

Gray renders are massive bear-like creatures with a massive appetite, exceptional strength and a need to bond with an intelligent creature. If it does it will protect said creature with it's life if need be. While saying that these creatures don't have any cunning, and use brute force, and brute force only. They breed by forming nodules on their bodies that drop off when mature enough and then grow into further gray renders. The parent feels no obligation to it's young and moves on, letting the young to fend for itself. When it encounters a suitable creature, it will start to sing to it, making a weird warbling cry, accompanied by scratching the earth, and making deference to the target. Despite being excellent protectors, they have a tendency of being totally chaotic & having unpredictable or random quirks. These can be irritating to it's master or it's allies, even deadly if not dealt with afterwards.   Exactly who created or where the gray renders come from is another matter. Nobody knows is the short answer. Some think the original gray render is a product of magic, and likely was bred as a protector to some Underdark race. Others think it may have came from the Feywild, or the Seelie/Unseelie Courts. Some also speculate its not from Earth, and maybe from another plane of existence, or from off-world even. Nothing has ever been found to tie it to any known creature, though it's build and general build is reminiscent of a bear, and speculation is, is that the grey renders are products of experimentation with magic to make the ultimate bodyguard.
