Glass Making

Glass making, and glass blowing has been around for millennia, with some of the earliest found in the Middle East, and spreading to Europe through the Roman Empire. It is made out of sand or silica, and usually involves heating it until it melts. Impurities are removed as well as water. When at a high enough temperature it is formed into sheets for the like of windows. Some mineral impurities are kept or added to introduce colour into the glass. Shaped glass is usually blown, where a glassblower uses a tube to blow into the molten mass to expand it, and uses tools to shape it, and if need be add further decoration or glass parts.
