Gallows speakers arise in place saturated in death. Each one in an amalgamation of spirits & souls trapped in the Material Plane due to a calamitous, if not, violent death. This can range from natural phenomenon , such as an earthquake or tsunami, especially in regions prone to this, to unnatural means like a battle site, execution site, or regularly used murder site. Each gallows speaker is composed of a number of the dead, and collectively moan in disjointed languages, crying out for peace. If listened to, sometimes a person can discern what happened, and maybe, just maybe, work out a way to set one or more parts of the gallows speaker to rest. A gallows speaker appears as a skeletal figure, dressed in robes and a hood, usually of pale colour, and is immaterial to the touch.
