Freki Yngling
Freki Yngling is a High Elf known to be one of having an insatiable love of causing mayhem in pursuit of power. Known to have driven of his Half-Elf daughter Hope Shurka, he does not like to share power wiith any but the closest of his Elf-kin. He is a worshipper of Loki and deals with all of Elf kind especially the Dark Elves, Drow, and Shadar-Kai, using them to further his own aims of wealth, power, and causing unnecessary suffering on all he deems unworthy.

Personal history
Freki Yngling started life by being born to a High Elf family in the world of Alfheim. Growing up he wqas trained in a variety of different topics, including the known history of Elf-kind. As a member of a noble bloodline he was expected to lead & be an exemplar of his family & community.
When young he learned of the different subspecies of Elvenkind and an interest in these took over. As the years progressed Freki came to believe that if the Elves could unite under one banner then nothing could stop them. Still believing this to this day he still has this belief in some fashion. Unfortunately they are as fractured a people as any other. During this time, Freki learned the trade of leadership. Having a natural-born leaning to leadership, he quickly learned how to manipulate others. Setting up contacts throughout the world of Alfheim, Freki realised he needed to trave to Midgard to have a shot at contacting other like-minded people.
Finding a way through to the region known as the Alps, Freki decided that having a mountainous castle here would be perfect for defensive reasons. Spending the time and resources to build one deep in the Alps, he started to contact different sections of Elvish societies throughout the multiverse. Given the timescale of building a castle in such conditions led to him having the time to build up quite a group of different Elvish groups. At least a handful of other subspecies are found at all times in his court.
One thing that seems to have grabbed his attention, was the Shadar-Kai. Seeing an opportunity to use some of them as a secret police of his own he travelled to the Shadowfell and helped to create a new order, the Bladed Pouch. He helped them organise and set up a meeting with the Thieves of Frankia hoping to ensnare them. Hoping the Bladed Pouch would take over leadership or wipe them out proved useless. The Thieves proved to be too formidable & had their own shadowy backers in the Frankish Court.
So with this Freki turned his attention to another venture. Starting with his own family he decided that he would create his own 'prophecy' with him as the hero figure. After taking a female human noble from a prominant family he fathered a child, a daughter called Hope. His wife was eventually secreted away in a dungeon complex below his castle where he called upon a powerful coven of Hags to hide her deep in the centre. This dungeon is made out of a maze of tunnels used to mine the stone for his castle. The Hags were paid for in spellcasters, something they hated, and wanted to exterminate. He set it up that they would be fed information conerning mages and the like for them to kill and yo target the de Rais family who knew rightly were involved at one stage with a Hag from the Coven already, one called Granny Barrowbye.He still supplies them with targets where they can manipulate and use to kill off spellcasters.
The traps the Hags set were corruptions of nature with multiple plants, animals and sorcerous effects the outcome. These conspire to keep his wife hidden & defended while he plotted. He knew he needed to cap the entrance and found a cult of Druidic Dwarves in the north who worshpped Surtur and pure stone. Getting a lackey, a red haired merchant to steal these sacred stones for capstone he had it eventually set. Working the stones inherent mystical nature he had it that only a priest of the stones, and his daughter Hope can open it. By sacrificing a portion of her blood on each can the magic be undone and th priest has to call on Surtur open it and return the stones to their original location.
He spread the rumour that he is now looking for his daughter so he can keep her locked away so she can't open the dungeon. He said that he is the only one to open the "Strange Stones that lie below his castle" and that it will raise him to a position of power beinmg blessed by the gods of the forge & fire, while he has raised his wife from the underworld at the same time. Thus it would show his power and the power of all Elf-kind and that th eternal fires of the forge is his to cammoand. Also he will use it to 'show' that he is the only one powerful enough to lead all Elf-kind into a new age.
