High Elves are on of the sub-races of Elvish culture. Like all Elves their ancestors originally came from Alfheim. They have a deep knowledge of magic, and in this case they also are known to be city based, in their own or others. They act as diplomats or advisors for others, as well as maintaining aspects of all civilised cultures. Ruled over by a king and/or queen and having a high level of technology and the sciences as well as knowledge on the differing aspects of magic they will trade of fight others to acquire or protect themselves and their secrets. Each Elf is long lived and mature as fast as humans, except their definition is somewhat different relying more on insight and experience. They usually live for 750 years or more. This allows them to have a love of variety in life and care generally more neutral or chaotic in approach, though generally more peace-loving and value the price of freedom in themselves & others. Because of this they are usually vied as good. When fully grown they have an average height of between 5 and 6 ft tall, making them Medium height. They have a number of abilities inherited for their ancestors including Darkvision (60 ft), and Keen Senses (proficiency in Perception). It seems they are descended of the Fey, and have contact with both the Feywild and both the Seelie & Unseelie Courts. This gives them the advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put them to sleep. It also allows them to enter a trance where they can maintain it for 4 hours and gain the same advantage as an 8 hour long rest.   High Elves are known for their intelligence and has a +1 to Int, which is marked in their ability score. They have some training in weapons common to their people, so have proficiency with longswords, shortswords, shortbows, and longbows. Their connection to magic means they have an innate Cantrip spell from the Wizard list, using Intelligence as the spellcasting ability. They have extensively travelled enough to know one bonus language too.
