Baiuvarii

The Baiuvarii (or Bavarii) are a Germanic people who covers most of Bavaria, Austria and South Tyrol. They speak a form of Germanic called Bavarii, and can easily communicate with many of the other Germanic tribes living with & around them. They have lived in the region since the 6th Century AD. One thing that sets them apart in many ways, is a few of them have artificially deformed skulls, likely being a clerical, bardic, and/or noble class. In all other ways they are Germanic in their outlook and way of life, and have took to living under the Franks quite well, who they view as just another tribe.
