Arianism Christianity

Arianism is a Christian denomination followed by many of the Germanic tribes that spread throughout Europe. They believe that Jesus is distinct from God, and subordinate to Him. This also is due to the belief that Jesus is begotten of God and was never eternal, only coming when the time was right.   This belief is a contradiction to some other Christian denominations, especially to the Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox churches. There is, and has been, wars fought between the followers of both denominations due to this. The Arians are losing out due to the Roman Catholic church gaining many high ranking followers in many surrounding lands, who have changed their own state religions to Catholicism, sometimes forcefully.   The last official king with Arian faith was Garibald (born 671) of the Lombards.
