Alanic Cavalry

The Franks used extensive use of local mercenary troops, and one was the cavalry mounted Alans who had settled in Armorica. This gave them access to specific units they didn't have. The Alans used a mix of lances and swords for attack, along with the weight of horse itself. They usually used helmets, shields and chainmail shirts for defence.
