Paolo Garcia's second year at the Academy

Paolo's Sophomore year goes a little better than his Freshman year. He meets Gabriel Trent during his training aboard TCSV Odysseus and gets to know him better while on TCSV Onomatopoeia.

Mos of Paolo's classmates at the Academy still found him annoying and were frustrated by his attempts at humor. But he'd earned a little respect, both as the winner of the Tournament and as the Anti-Bullying Spokesperson.

One part of the Sophomore year is that the Cadets gets to serve on a ship of the Fleet for a few weeks, and Paolo served on TCSV Odysseus. When Odysseus crashed on Calypso Paolo saved himself and the Marine he was flirting with at the time, by launching them both in an escape pod. The escape pod landed on Ogygia, Calypso's moon. Paolo got himself and Trent to Calypso, through an unorthodox maneuver, and they met and assisted Cedric Bourbon in bringing down the people who killed the rest of the crew of Odysseus, and caused the crash.

Paolo did the rest of his internship on TCSV Onomatopoeia.

Back at the Academy, after the internship was over he stayed in contact with Trent, Bourbon and their new friend, Jesse Peters.

Towards the end of his Sophomore Year Paolo won the Martial Arts Tournament for the second year in a row.
