The Sentient World Observation Response Division is a United States extra-governmental intelligence organisation which specialises in monitoring and responding to alien and extra-planetary threats.
It was founded in response to Carol Danvers and Starforce's visit to Earth in 1995. Maria Rambeau, who was involved in those events, was recruited to the organisation, and was later made its second director.
The are based on The Peak, a space station in high earth orbit.
