When injected with the Transmode Virus, Kree become members of the Phalanx, developing techno-organic metal bodies that are immune to most weapons.
Once the virus takes hold, no traces of the host's original personality remain. The victim becomes part of the Phalanx hive-mind, driven to subsume everyone they encountered into the Phalanx.

Transmission & Vectors
Injection of the Transmode Virus, originally by Dr Eve, but the Phalanx also have the ability to pass the virus on directly via their techno-organic bodies.
It is unknown what would happen were the virus to be injected into a non-Kree individual.

There is no known cure or way to reverse the virus. Once infected, the host is considered functionally dead.
