He married Milena Petralon, the sister of Quelin Petralon, who was personal secretary to Korath's mother Queen Tanith. The marriage was contraversial, due to her lower caste, but due to it being a love-match rather than being arranged.
He briefly served as Regent after King Agon and Queen Rynda were killed by Blackagar Boltagon, while an investigation into the deaths was ongoing.
He was killed during a Ward uprising. He was succeeded as General by his son Gorgon Petragon.
