Jotun Royal Family
The ruling house of the Frost Giants, who are also accepted as the de-factor rulers of Jotunheim as a whole.
They trace their ancestry directly to Ymir, the first giant.
The succession of King of Jotunheim does not follow primageniture: rather the member of the family considered most worthy of ruling inherents the throne. For this reason, following the death of Laufey, the title passed not to their child Helblindi, but to their cousin Skrymir.
Due to generations of intermarriage, the Jotun royal family is closely related to the Asgardian Royal Family, Vanir Royal Family, and the ruling families and houses of the Mountain Giants and Storm Giants.
