Christopher Powell

Christopher Powell was one of the first recipients of the Anton Vanko Memorial Scholarship. His Scholarship project was a smaller and more accurate MRI scanner.

He is currently a student at M.I.T. His goal is to create brainwave-controlled adaptive technologies for people with paralysis or limited movement.

Author's Note

Christopher is the semi-obscure superhero Darkhawk in the 616 - he was the next big thing about twenty next big things ago, and almost never gets to be in comics anymore. He's not a wheelchair user in the comics, but there's no reason for him not to be, since he doesn't fight crime using his own body - he has an amulet which transfers his conciousness into what is essentially a robot, which is what he uses to fight. I thought it would be fun to think of that as essentially an adaptive technology.
