Alrik's Tavern
Shortly after Akavel was annexed, there was much interest in a prior world ruin that existed nearby. One of Alrik's ancestors thought it would make a lovely site for a tavern, and through a series of political deals managed to secure it for himself, much to the consternation of others who had more academic interests in the location.
The Tavern is a large triangular structure situated towards the south-eastern corner of the Industrial district. The largest of the rooms within the structure is used as the tap room, and has been filled with tables for patrons to eat and drink at. Pillars and beams have been added in places to help provide support where walls have been removed to further expand the drinking area, though they are noticeably cruder than the prior world engineering they help support. The upper level has been partially converted into rooms that can be rented to travellers, however some sections remain closed off and visitors are advised not to enter these areas.
