Shjanskure

Shjanskure is the capital of the South-East. The name derives from Shent - meaning cultural - and Skuru - meaning stone. As its name suggests it is a hub of South-Eastern culture. It houses the tower monument inscribed with the Philosophy of the Trichotomic Morality. The other most prominent features are the thick outer wall, and rough stone architecture.
Before the advent of the Izer Age, this was one of the only places where people in La Skuru lived a sedentary lifestyle, reserved for scholars and their aids.

Demographics

The main population of the city are nomads from across The Southern Plains visiting for philosophical guidance and medical supplies. The largest sedentary population is the society that revolves around the scholars and their daily lives. Some of these people originated from far away regions like The West Coast and Hassa Hatta.

Government

The government is entirely technocratic. Scholars decide on legal matters as though they were intellectual disputes. This is part of the social contract, and the reason they are provided with limitless sustenance and comfort. There is virtually no law enforcement except for the wall guard, because social ostracization can lead to exposure to the harsh climate outside the city walls.

Defences

The outer wall is made of stone hewn from the The Izer Mountains. It is defended day and night by an armed guard. The weapons of choice vary throughout the centuries, due to the scientific discoveries made by the scholars. These include bow and arrow, boiling pitch, fireworks and other pyrotechnics.

Industry & Trade

Most of the food brought to the settlements, aside from spices, are brought to the city through regional nomads. Mining is also done locally but luxury goods, are brought in through the Southern trade route to The West Coast.
