Philosophy of the Trichotomic Morality

Scholarly nomads created a full description of the views on morality across the three cultural identities of North, West and South-East. This document is written on metal plates built into the triple helix stairwell of the largest tower in Shjanskure.

Purpose

This work is the culmination of countless scholars traveling through the land. These authors attempted to create a full and unbiased description of the moral landscape. While this is impossible, they came quite close. A notable exception to its stated goal is found in the vague description of Northern views on sexuality. Despite numerous scholars' attempts, People in the North refuse to divulge anything of substance on that topic.

Document Structure

Clauses

The work is divided into three books corresponding to the three cultural regions. Three parallel spiral staircases wind upwards through each book, connected through floors within the central column. The floors are located between chapters, which are shared among the three books. A chapter contains a collection of moral views on a specific topic sourced from the respective region, such as law and order, economics or social structure. Chapters are ordered strategically to form a physical barrier to some of its content.

Publication Status

The document is in theory available to anyone who wishes to climb the tower. This is such a time consuming process that most people only ever read the first few plates of the South-Eastern book on law and order.

Historical Details

History

Scholars have long had the habit to travel and write down their impressions. Many of them independently wrote down dissertations on particular aspects of the different morality structures. Larger compilations grew out of these documents, until the desire was formulated to write a complete analysis of the trichotomy. At this point scholars set out with specific sections of the work to fill in.   The many authors wrote drafts on stretched out primat hides of what they gathered on their journeys. After a rigorous debate on the final document the first completed version was copied nine times and stored in the public library of Shjanskure. After a fire destroyed the library as well as all copies of the work, the document was recompiled and transferred to metal plates installed in the tower which contains the plates to this day.
