Personal history
Jouvi is the daughter of a Middling Noble Family mostly residing in an outlying city in the Demon Realm. Specifically, the city with a Permanent Gate to the Beastkin Realm - meaning she and her family are heavily involved in the intra-realm trading market.
It was a trading trip that brought Jouvi to the Demon King’s Castle, where she caught the eye of a Greater Lady who asked Jouvi to become one of her attendants. She was an adolescent at the time, and Jouvi's family welcomed the opportunity to make a connection with a higher-ranking house. However, problems arose as soon as Jouvi's family departed - the Greater Lady was not kind to her attendants, and had assumed a young lower-ranked lady would be easy to bully without repercussions.
She was right - for a time, at least. Jouvi, away from her family in a new court, wasn't sure how to handle her poor treatment. At least, not until she attended a salon hosted by Lordis Gavven - a lordis who enjoyed meeting as many new people as e could, and so always invited new faces to the first salon e could fit them into no matter their rank. Learning from the other nobles in attendance that her treatment was indeed harsh, Jouvi resolved to leave the Greater Lady's service immediately.
However, Jouvi soon discovered this was not so easy - with no family and only mediocre noble standing, it was a simple matter for the Lady to prevent Jouvi from establishing herself or finding a way home. She ended up finding refuge in the service Gavven's parent, Exhelm, who was Groundskeeper at the time.
Jouvi became curious about the work of groundskeeping while serving as one of Exhelm's attendants, and by the time her family had made another trip to the Demon King's castle and Jouvi was able to meet with her, she had decided to stay and learn about groundskeeping instead of returning home.
When Jurao Ascended to Demon King, she succeeded her mentor as the Head Groundskeeper.
