Dragon Lairs
Dragons do not build homes in a traditional sense - more often carving out rough living areas they share with their established family group. They refer to these home locations as lairs.
While not fully constructed, lairs are often dug out of rock or earth to fit the needs of the current residents. This includes private rooms, often separated by hide coverings, and common spaces such as store rooms for food or a nursery for communal child rearing.
Some dragons will utilize their Breath for more advanced construction - such as fire to melt walls smooth or wind for more even tunnels.
While most lairs are found in mountainsides - allowing for easier take off for flight - some prefer to underground lairs, usually those that also prefer their small forms over their large forms.
