The Vilani developed on Vland. The Vilani are not physically distinctive when compared with Solomani, but they possess a distinctive cultural and psychological outlook. They were the first race of Humaniti to invent the jump drive in , and created the First Imperium. The Vilani were the rulers of the Ziru Sirka or First Imperium, and that government was an oligarchy. However, the majority of Vilani are currently are a part of the Third Imperium. Many practices and traditions of the Imperium date back to the time of the Vilani Empire.
