Nostgard
This is Nostgard. Our Garden. The World as we know it.
At the heart of the Nostgard lies Mare Nostgard. An inland sea and the bouncing heart of Nostgard. In the south Mare Nostgard becomes deeper and darker and ends with Cape del Fuego. To the north of Mare Nostgard lie the vast Wolda Woods that stretch up to the mysterious Arctic Lake Jorakk. From Lake Jorakk the mighty Eldau River connects the North with The Former Allamaran Empire behind the Hochkrete Ridge in the west. Beyond the coastline in the Unkown East lies the barren Sea of Sands.
The Nostgard is blossoming culturally and economically. The fall of the the Allamaran Empire in the West has led to great influx of people and knowledge. Scores of merchants and craftsmen, sages and scientists fled to the relative security of the Northern River League and the Southern Merchant Republics. The merchant republics have just entered the beginning of what looks like a prolonged artistic rebellion, especially in the field of astronomy, anatomy and engineering. While the River League is becoming a foremost maritime and economic power with a ever expending reach. Thanks to the construction of fleets of ships both for their own protection and to support extensive trade networks. In the East several coastal colonies, outposts and hide outs try to unleash the potential of Unknown East. Little is known of the caravans that appear and disappear from the Sea of Sand.
