Welcome to Nashville
It is February 2002, mere months after the 9/11 attacks. @Magio-supremecists, using the 9/11 attacks as cover, destroy several magical targets in New York and Washington.
Tensions run high at @St.Augustine's School for the Talented, hidden in Nashville's Percy Warner Park. The school itself has been attacked. The @magio-supremacists and their young adherents want to recruit--or kill--students with special abilities--Seers, Empaths, Healers. Several teachers and their families have run afoul of the @magio-supremacists and have been targeted. The @Department, both in Washington and in the regional offices, are in a perpetual state of alert.
But our tale doesn't begin with death or destruction, but with a new beginning. A girl becomes a Seer. A teacher, crippled in an attack, begins to heal. A couple have children. A man discovers his

1995 (July-December) Magio-supremacist Irish separatists launch a series of attacks against civilian targets in Ireland and Britain. Seer Elaine MacNamara is killed.
1996 Further attacks in by magio-supremacists in Ireland and Britain.
1998 Magio-supremacists, aided by demonic incursions, attack the John Dee Academy for the Gifted and Talented in Connecticut.
1999 Several new teachers hired at St. Augustine's School for the Talented.
2000 Magio-supremacists attack a wedding in Nashville.
2001 (September) 9/11 attacks. Under cover of these attacks,
Magio-supremacists destroy several magical targets in Washington and New York. @TheDepartment is badly damaged. Magio-supremacists attack @St.Augustine's School for the Talented.
