Wildspace Common

Wildspace Common is the name of the common language of Wildspace and the areas of the Astral Sea occupied by the Phlogiston. It is an creole language derived from ancient human worshippers of Ptah, the first humans to take to astral travel, and Imperial Elven, the lingua franca shared between the varying fleets of the Imperial Elven Navy.   Wildspace Common is also the most wildly spoken languages on multi-racial spelljammers, where the language has gained a unique subset of terms and definitions unique to these crews. A selection of common words and phrases used by spelljamming crews on this page.

Geographical Distribution

Wildspace Common can be found in and around the many crystal spheres that float in the phlogiston of the Astral Sea. However, the further one gets away from the "core" of the known crystal spheres, that being Realmspace, Greyspace, and Krynnspace, the rarer Wildspace Common becomes, though one must travel quite a distance away before this becomes noticeable, as Wildspace Common remains the common tongue in border regions of the known Astral Sea, like the Rapide Frontier.
