Wildspace

Wildspace is the emtpy vaccuum that exists between the atmosphere of planets the borders of a crystal sphere. It is often used colloquially to refer to the spelljamming community as a whole.
Due to its emptiness, lacking both physical and magical substances that would allow a mortal creature to survive, even minor exposure to Wildspace outside of a planet or spelljammer's air envelope would result in near instant freezing of the body and boiling of any body fluids. Death can result in minutes, and creatures that go without magical healing following exposure are likely to suffer permenant injuries, such as blindness.
