The Dark Unknown

The Dark Unknown is the deepest, darkest, most dangerous region of the Sunken Lands. Very little is known about this region, but it is believed to contain the main temple cities of Nodurog, and serves as the source of the creatures that attack the surface during Nodurog's Rampages. The corruption of the Sunken Lands is at its strongest in the Dark Unknown. Those brave few who travel to the Dark Unknown require magical protection to stay down their for long, and even then most who do venture into the depths never return at all.
