As the Royal Harvester to King Loras StormClaw I, Lord Desmond Mully has a lot of responsibilities, these being overseeing the food production of the empire, as well as the other industries such as mining and logging, Lord Desmond however, ignores all of these duties. Desmond's mother was first named Royal Harvester by King Phineas StormClaw III, Lady Annabeth was very compontent and had the StormClaw economy soaring, even after the Verdant Rebellion. As Annabeth's heir, a young Desmond was raised at court in the sapphire keep where he befriended a young prince, Loras StormClaw. They became fast friends and when Loras eventually became king it is said that after the coranation Loras and Desmond got so drunk that they drew grafiti all over the throne room. King Loras kept Lady Annabeth on as his Royal Harvester until her death in 971 ASC Loras apointed Desmond to take her place. Desmond had spent most of his time in the capital anyway, only returning to Mullyhold to fuffil his mothers betrothal pact to wed Camilla Atten, once he got her pregnant he left for the capital rarely ever returning to vist his wife and son.
