To Become a Provisioner

Provisioners are the life blood of the Tribe, gathering food and materials that keep the village fed and well. Some may be foragers that bring home wild berries and roots to be dried for storage. Others might harvest and prepare lumber for totems and lodges. Unlike Traders, Provisioners typically do not sell what they collect. Rather, they will use their harvest to craft and create for use in the village itself.

The rank of Provisioner does not require a skills test to obtain. If your character has some skill in gathering or crafting, and wishes to put those skills towards the village, then they will be granted that role.   Provisioners take many forms. A Provisioner may collect food, materials, or medicine from the environment to be used in crafts and goods. They may be crafters themselves, directly using materials they, or others, have collected to create things the village needs. Herbalists, leatherworkers, tailors, and small game hunters would all fit with this role.   A Provisioner may be a collector, a crafter, or both. The main difference between a Provisioner and a Trader is that a Provisioner will focus on collecting and crafting for the village itself, rather than to sell or to barter. A crafter may still sell some of the excess product, but the majority will be used within the village by members of Stonewind.   *This role may have a LOT of overlap with the roles of Trader and Tracker. For instance, a hunter that tracks small game to feed the village, but then sells the pelts on the Bluffs, could be considers a Trader, Provisioner, or Tracker depending on how you look at it. In that case, the choice is yours of what title you'd like them to have. The title is mostly just to advertise to others what area your character likes to focus on.
