Peredagon
A large water world in the OCN-812 system.
Notable for being home to an alien race of Octopods, and many other biological wonders.
Partially colonized by humanity, there is a large population of transhuman Merfolk on the planet, a product of Bio-Genomics, as well as a few floating cities with standard human occupants.
Moss Island, a small floating city, is a freeport. But arriving and departing is so heavily restricted, most consider it barely deserving of the name. Many of those who have visited Moss Island report that they were lucky to get away with their skin intact.
Peredagon is the only known source of the illicit drug "Salt".
There are buoyant coral "reefs" that float well below the surface which teem with a variety of life. The ocean floor is too deep to be detected from the surface.
