The Quicksand Monastery

Structure

Quickling. The "novice". Individuals undergoing a time of training and preparation in order to prepare for their baptism and commitment to this structured way of life.
Quickened. All individuals who have been baptized into the organization.
Va'ther. The head of the Quicklings. Responsible for the structure of the training and teaching provided to the novices.
Va'cor. A Quickened who has additional responsibility of caring for the sick and afflicted at the monastery.
Va'quart. The Quickened who provides for the population's practical needs for daily life.
Va'shan. The title given to the head of the monastery.

Culture

Members of The Quicksand Monastery are instructed and taught in the importance of looking at the world with an eye of discernment. Things are regularly not as they appear—whether that be something physical like the Fallacious Flats or personal, like a person and their motives.
They often see the world as too judgemental and quick to make decisions. They often employ their skills in courts and investigative services.
It is their belief that most things—particularly people—present facades to the rest of their surroundings. Things are always deeper and more complex than they are presented or initially understood.
They spend their time in the monastery growing to know themselves on a "deep core" level, realizing that they, too, have fabricated facades that they've shared with reality.

Public Agenda

The Quicksand Monastery is dedicated to the following:

1. Teaching its members how to discover who they truly are
2. Sharing the lessons demonstrated by the Universe with others
3. Bring to light things as they truly are
