Wonderland
Doctor Alice Bethanie Little (a.k.a. Wonderland)
Background:
Alice Little was born into a mining family in Sudbury, Ontario. Socially awkward and shy, she endured bullying throughout her school life due to her intelligence and slender build. After being tested at age eight, it was revealed that she was in the upper 1% of IQ scores, leading to her placement in accelerated learning programs. As she excelled academically and gained fame as a "prodigy," the social isolation deepened, as her peers found her intimidating or envious.
By the age of fourteen, Alice underwent tests for meta-genes, revealing she was a Delta Five Special with minimal psychic potential. However, she was undeterred and focused on studying the human mind, eventually mastering multiple doctorates. It was during this time that she met Coraline Penrose, a law student who treated her like a regular girl, providing a much-needed friendship that Alice had long craved.
Alice's brilliance led to funding for her research from Macentyre Systems, particularly from Michael Macentyre, the CEO's son. As she developed Project Wonderland—a revolutionary VR system—she found herself falling in love with Michael. However, her world shattered when she discovered he was using her for her research and had plans to exploit it for military purposes.
Devastated, Alice slipped into a new persona, Wonderland, retreating into a world where she could control her narrative. Embracing her pain, she developed Psycho-tech, enhancing her psionic abilities and allowing her to manipulate others' perceptions. Now a Ceta One class psychic, Alice could project sensory experiences directly into others' minds and link to them telepathically. With her oversized telekinetic acceleration mallet, she became a formidable villain, determined to enact her revenge against those who wronged her.
Personality:
Alice: As Alice Little, she is shy, intelligent, and often socially awkward. She struggles with the expectations placed upon her due to her genius, feeling isolated and misunderstood. Deep down, she longs for acceptance and genuine connections, having been hurt by betrayal and bullying throughout her life. Alice is sensitive, kind-hearted, and yearns for a sense of normalcy and belonging.
Wonderland: In contrast, Wonderland embodies the traits Alice wishes she could have: confidence, fearlessness, and flirtatiousness. Wonderland is whimsical yet ruthless, driven by a deep love for Alice that is both protective and twisted. Her ultimate goals are to keep Alice safe and make her happy, even if it means avenging all wrongs against Alice with excessive force. Wonderland is willing to warp reality itself to create the perfect storybook world for Alice, viewing her actions as a means to ensure that Alice never suffers again. To Wonderland, every act of revenge is justified if it brings Alice closer to the happiness she deserves or punishes those who hurt her beloved Alice for wonderland truely loves Alice with all her heart.
