Dexter Donaldson, once known as the Ultra-Defender, made his mark during the Golden Age of superheroics, protecting Toronto and the rest of Canada from villains, rogue metas, and criminal organizations. His career began when he absorbed cosmic energy from a mysterious asteroid, gaining the power to create solid energy force fields, which he quickly used to take on the mantle of a superhero. After the war, Dexter returned to Canada, where he continued his superhero career while also focusing on his research in physics and starting the popular Ultra-Burger franchise, which he later passed on to his son.
